Hello hiver
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo of me that you might like and this is my entry #monomad
want to share a little story with your friends in your black and white community, which is about a trip to a city in the middle of the mountains of Papua.
In this trip, I would like to share information about traditional traditional houses that are characteristic of buildings in an area in Indonesia that symbolize customs and culture.
One of them is the local architecture that still survives today, namely the Honai house.
traditional traditional house of the Dani tribe who live in valleys and mountains at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level. Wamena, Jaya Wijaya Regency, Papua Province,
The round shape of the honai resembles this mushroom
basic circle shape
with thatched roof.
With a wooden frame with woven walls to escape the cold weather caused by strong winds from the mountains, Honai has no windows
In the middle of Honai, a fireplace is made to warm the body at night.
The life of the Dani tribe, depends on nature.
In order to survive in the open, the ancestors of the Dani tribe made honai as a place to live.
This is a very unique Honai architecture.
