Pushing the contrast
I haven't done a lot of model photography this year (in fact just the three shoots). Two I really enjoyed, one I really didn't like at all, and have not published any of the shots I got from that day. This one with Lauren was one I liked. We had made plans and come up with ideas for the shoot. But on the day of the shoot, it was cold and damp, so we decided to shoot at Lauren's home. A quick change of plans ensued.
Look away
So I armed myself with a couple of rolls of paper, one black and one white and drove the forty odd miles over to Lauren's. I had asked Lauren about wearing black and white outfits to work with the idea I had in mind. I was happy with the shots but wanted to push the contrast, to emphasise the dual tones. Lauren doesn't need a lot of direction, and we nailed the shoot in just over an hour, which included outfit changes,

I had to do a bit of "cleaning up" on these shots. Although I had taken my AD200s and a selection of soft boxes I decided to go with natural light, which was possibly a mistake, but we live and learn. As the high contrast ones aren't to everyone's taste, I thought I would just include a "normal" mono conversion,
