The most monochromatic landscape in the world that I experienced in Venice, Italy | MONOMAD Challenge

In this #monomad challenge I bring you a landscape that didn't need to be edited to monochrome, haha, it was black and white. It is Venice submerged in the middle of a dense fog. Actually the colors were barely distinguishable, the view was no more than 70 meters away and everything seemed to stop in time.

I remembered a part of the movie “The Others”, starring Nicole Kidman, where at one point she herself is lost in a totally dense fog in her town.

I was in an unfamiliar city trying to cross from the island of Venice to Giudecca. It was past 9:00 pm and I didn't know which Vaporetto (boat-bus) to take to get back to the island where one of Venice's Generator, the hostel where I was staying, is located.

For the first time in my life I felt afraid traveling, because it was cold, the city had already closed almost all its doors and I did not know where to go or what to do.

On the street there were very few people walking, who were disappearing as they advanced in the fog.

Unintentionally I passed by St. Mark's Square, which had become a gloomy scene where a thriller of yesteryear could have been filmed as a short film without the need for many more resources.

Later I found out that seeing Venice in this fog is normal, but for me, it was a unique experience, since the other time I had been in such fog, it was in the south of Mendoza, the province where I am from, and it was daytime, and I was driving my car. I mean, nothing compared to this.

Likewise, once I arrived at my hostel, I felt extremely happy to have experienced that, because it was literally a very particular monochromatic landscape. And as you know that I relate everything to my energetic planes, I felt that that fog represented my lack of mental clarity at this moment, but then the road itself made it clear to me that the fog is leaving and the ground and the sky are clear to continue moving forward.

I felt that the fog also somehow cleansed me. Things that happen to you, hehe.

Thanks a lot!

What an intense film that is, isn't it? Fog can be challenging and even more so when you are in a place you don't know. I think the seagull wanted to give you a message of clarity.
Of course you felt happy. You lived your own movie.

Lol! Absolutely, it was like a movie!

Thanks for stopping by!

Yo soy fan de Nicole Kidman. 😄

Hey @belug you are welcome. Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘

Fantastic shots!

Thank you!!

I can hardly tell which part of the road is because of the thick fog that covers the road, but you collected some amazing portraits today my friend.

Thanks a lot! To be honest I agree! They are good shots. It was not only me but also the landscape itself!

Thank you!
