Sometimes, there are some things around a place that catch the eye and look like a good subject for photography. Back in December,, when I had to partake in a Congress, there was this exhibit of the Museum of the Sea at the lobby of the Cultural Complex. They displayed many things related to sea life. In this case, skeletons of many things from snails, fish, coral and for some reason a deer skull.
I had to listen to some things about the schedules for visits and some other facts in order to be close and take photos of the things on the table. There was also this model of a fishing ship laying around next to the Museum's table. As far as I remember, it had to do with some tuna thing. Can't pinpoint the exact idea behind it. And opposite to these exhibits, there was one about entomology. There was even a digital microscope to check some details of a display of butterfly wings.
Bones and models make for nice subjects in black-and-white photography. The idea of highlighting the texture of the of something as fascinating as the bone structure of certain animals gives it an eerie feeling and even more. I can't put it in words. But such is the magic of a media like photography.
Maybe you'll come around and take a look to find all of this as cool as cool as I did the day these photos were taken. Or at least, somethin will catch your attention.
