Monomad Challenge - In my hands.

in Black And White5 years ago

It is a very old image. One of my first images when i started shooting in a studio and just got my Nikon D3s.

It did not go as well as planned, i messed up with the colors, the only studio light i had was a cheap knock-off with the only small 50cm square sotfbox (which is actually my favorite size today for close to midrange portraits as it wraps around nicely and not too much).

Sometimes i still go through my very old shots and try to apply what i have learned in those years, post production vise. This time it is a Black&White conversion.

I've just ordered my new rig that would allow me to properly capture my screen and will not slow down PS performance at that same time as i am planning to try and make some beginner level tutorials exclusively for the Hive photography community. it should be arriving in a week or so.

What would be the topics or questions you'd like me to cover in those tutorials if any? Or do you think there are enough on YT and i should not bother?

Also, and in case you didn't yet, join the new Black And White Community.Congratulations. Today's #monomad first place is yours. Thank You very much for participating.

Thanks a lot, i appreciate it!

I am a member already i believe. This post was posted onto above mentioned community. Unless there are two of them under the same name :)

I like it all the same, sometimes the "not right " shots work in their own way, for me it has a feel of old school tin plate photography. Be safe dude.

Appreciate. I tend to like "not right" shots that work more than the perfect ones. There is so much perfect photography, that those anomalies capture my attention even more i'm afraid.

She even got a tattoo for free 😉

That is not her hands even to be honest lol

Well, I was precisely wondering...I'm glad you confirm the weird feeling I had these were not her hands
I thought these hand were eventually not feminine...?
But it's true you added a tattoo 😉

It's true i did :) Glad they bring up suspense of disbelief :)
And these hands are not feminine indeed, but whose hands it is remains a secret lol

Don't worry the colors, we all can learn witt that. But capturing not just the image but also the emotions is hard to do. This was perfect.

I would like to see some tutorials from professionals around here.

I have the feeling that many of us sharing photos are hobbyist and can't create technical tutorials. Maybe some work flow and tricks, but not technical stuff.

And at the end, you'll be giving value to the platform.

Thank you for your time to comment on this one.

I do not know? Maybe posting an example of work you like and do not know how to do it would help to cooperate and backward engineer it? :)
