We have seen that many people on this earth do not believe in climate change, from heads of state to the most ordinary people. I wonder how this can happen when the evidence is near us.
Climate is so important for life on earth and I learned in school that climate change or happened at very long intervals, hundreds of thousands of years.
Now I have noticed how the climate in my country has changed during my short life. The climate is no longer the same as my childhood and it's been a little over fifty years since then. Winters have become shorter and shorter and snowless and summers have become hotter. I remember that when I was a child I didn't leave the house, in summer, when the temperature reached 30 degrees Celsius. Now, this summer, for two weeks the temperature in the shade is close to 40 degrees Celsius. This is in a European country located in the southeast of the continent! In the true south, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, the temperatures have gone crazy and the forests are burning on their own and burning. Terrible and terrifying!
It's too hot, I can't stand this temperature anymore.
Trying to make a few orders among the thousands of photos in different folders I found a few that reminded me of the time when I missed the heat.
Autumn to winter in the park, with fog.
The park next to the house, mandatory to cross when I have to get to the bus or subway. Full of life and people in summer, now, at the end of autumn to winter and in a thick and cold humid fog, you can hardly see anyone. The atmosphere of an English film or rather, of a horror film.
Especially since it is evening and among the trees, I can see the silhouette of a summer theater long abandoned, now a ruin. I immediately remember the stories about a ghost that would live in this theater, the ghost of a woman. The fact that only an honest woman is in the park, before me, makes all this atmosphere even stranger.
Fortunately, I know that the lady in the pictures can't be suspected of being a ghost. Because she's my wife (the lady, not the ghost!).
Now, when I look at the photo, I'm not so sure. I see that the trees were behaving strangely as if they were getting out of her way. I was a little scared now, some small cold shivers passed over my back ...
I have to be more careful and try not to upset her!
The fact that the park was deserted was the great sensation of cold, cold outside as well as inside. From within, that is, from fear.
Finally, a ray of hope. From the thick fog appear, in the distance, some silhouettes. That's it, I'm not alone with ... the mysterious lady anymore.
But if I think about it, I don't know if it's safer. Who knows who is approaching! The fact that I wrote this post is proof that those silhouettes were, if not benevolent then just indifferent.
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge!
Awesome dramatic feel to these images, love them
And I to cannot understand how some people still don’t believe in climate change
Thank you! People are a permanent wonder for me, I can't understand either, of course, I put aside those who don't care, those who don't understand, those who don't have enough learning. The others, who seem smart, are so easy to manipulate if their pride tickles a little!
Ohh yes hard to fathom some people
Thank you very much!
Nice photos!! 👍📸
