A few months ago the towns surrounding Valencia were destroyed by flooding and the overflowing of several small rivers.

The destruction was beastly from a material point of view, with thousands of cars swept through the streets by the force of the water. Unfortunately, there were also many fatalities.

The water levels reached are still noticeable when you walk around the area and see the commercial buildings.

Today, with the heavy rains in the south and east of Spain, my memory has travelled back to Paiporta in the hope that their lives can return to normal.

Terrible. Estuve en València tres semanas después de la dana, y toda la zona afectada era un apocalipsis. Tengo familia directa en Catarroja, el epicentro del desastre y cómo lo vivieron y sobrevivieron, fue estar en los límites humanos.
