My favorite spider outside the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao (#Monomad and Qurator Photo Quest entry)

Hello,

Unlike many people who like photography, for me photographing spiders is something that I find difficult because I honestly don't like them at all, not to say that I am afraid of them.

So my entry to the Qurator Photo Quest: Spiders will be with one of the biggest but at the same time most harmless spiders I have ever encountered in my life.

This large bronze, marble and stainless steel chandelier is located in the immediate vicinity of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and is one of the permanent exhibits acquired by the museum for its exterior.

This large chandelier by the artist Louise Bourgeois measures 895 x 980 x 1,160 cm and was conceived by the artist as an ode to her mother. That is why the sculpture bears the name Mama.

In several presentations of this sculpture, the artist stated that her mother was a worker and a weaver, as her family owned a tapestry restoration business.

Undoubtedly, the spider that for me is the most beautiful and at the same time inoffensive.

Best regards.
