You know what is truly challenging? Debuting in a community, that is within a niche, where art in visual form is displayed with such profound beauty and talent, that without hesitation, it pushes you to give your absolute maximum. This small confession is my truth, and it is part of what touches me and what has inspired me to make this post... I don't normally use monochromatic or black and white tones too much, but evolving also goes hand in hand with doing what you think you haven't mastered.

Here I created a visual story that tells the story of absolute normality... Different scenarios and moments, but all of them captured during the same day... From monuments to freedom, in a country that stands out for the opposite, to a girl with tired eyes who stares at the camera lens while, kindly, and without saying a word, accepts to be part of what I do... I could come up with a more elaborate story, and so play with the tints of imagination and empathy...

But in the end, it goes hand in hand with being completely honest and substantial. I am just another passer-by, in her 30s, struggling like all of you for daily bread; and to find, oh my god, yes; a piece of happiness, excitement and genuine joy every now and then.... They are not the same thing, they don't look the same, but they are related.... My photographs show the sweetness of a kitten taking a nap, while most probably waking up to the problems that life throws at him...

Certainly not to mention the statue of Simón Bolívar, symbol of the Liberation and the struggle for the Independence of a republic, your republic... If only I could have a ‘VIP Pass’ for a day... The monochrome gives that tinge of reflection which is what makes photography beautiful. Even beyond the lighting and the concept behind an image... We're not all Steven Zaillian or Spielberg in Schindler's List, I wish we were, but we're not... People tend to forget that the vast majority of our days are spent in the midst of normality. We go from the bus station to another station to get to work...

Walking to the office or on the way home, we feel our energy waning. We search and search, sometimes desperately, for that impetus; the joy between the unexpected and the fabulous. And if you are like me, a person who can't stop thinking and having a constant mind thinking and holding micro dialogues; a ‘rebel’; I am sure you will find harmony, beauty, beauty, and even connection in some of the photographic samples that I bring for you today. I'll settle for a smile, or a grimace, in some of these. Nothing more. And if so, take it, enjoy it, use it as you wish.

So, at the end of this journey, eating the most csncelable meal in recent history (a classic bacon cheeseburger) is what makes me happy. And it looks great in black and white with a touch of selenium... Photos are there to remember or to highlight brief, ephemeral moments, which with technology we can relive. Hive creates a platform for you and me, strangers both, but lovers of stories and capturing light, to be here. This time reading my thoughts, but previously, I was doing it with yours... What a curious world, isn't it? And it all started with normality...
