How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Covid

Can we go back to talking about nuclear war and weapons of mass destruction? All this covid talk is starting to get a bit stale, it's not like anyone is paying attention anymore anyways. Who wants to think about dying gasping for breath with a tube shoved down your throat when you could be thinking about being instantaneously vaporized in a nuclear holocaust?

It's not like the Cold War actually ended, it's just been on intermission for a decade or two. Guess they had to take the political window dressing down before Act II. Did you know that the US still has 405 ICBMs sitting in silos, ready to go? Atomic fire, thirty minutes away from anywhere!

What's not to love about a Mexican standoff with weapons of mass destruction? Surely the government is as prepared for that as it was a pandemic...

China's menacing Taiwan, Russia's menacing Ukraine, the US and western Europe making tepid threats of 'consequences'. Is it two minutes to midnight yet?

Judging by the past couple years, mutually assured destruction isn't restricted to the use of nuclear weapons anymore.

We may all be required to have the fear now but at least we have some variety to choose from. What's your favorite flavor? Nuclear war, terrorists, pandemics, climate change, there's something for every taste!

No matter which you choose, it's gonna end badly, right? So why worry about it?

Sort:

There's always been some existential threat to obsess over and the secret is: don't

I'm just waiting for the power grids to fail and the global economy to come to a grinding halt and people everywhere suddenly realizing that they can't put gas in their cars or heat their homes or access their crypto. If the zombies show up at the same time that would just be icing on the cake.

I see you there you beautiful Maroon Bells you.

I was wondering if you'd recognize the bells 😎

We're getting there! I'm kinda surprised we haven't made it to that point yet but I'm still optimistic that it'll happen. Zombies might be fun, it'd at least give us something to shoot at while we're waiting around to die.

Hard to not notice the Bells. Those are some wild mountains.

I'm still optimistic that it'll happen

Gotta stay positive! :D

The end of days is Neigh! I got my soap box ready and a bottle of the good stuff set aside for Midnight. Always kind of hoped it would be a combination of the above but as it stands I'm gonna vote for Zombies or Alien invasion and mass extinction.

So far the Vid has been the most boring Apocalypse ever. I have decided in my infinite wisdom to change the channel.

Ni! Ni! Nice, I probably need to stock up a little more on ammo before it hits midnight.

Lol, don't know how I forgot about aliens and zombies. I second the boring, if I could find my universal remote I'd follow your example.

Great article Colonel. I'm a big fan of gloves and masks to the post office. Just don't use a credit card and you're good.

don't use a credit card

How else am I supposed to pay for IKEA's fallout shelter kit?

I should've thought this out.

I try not to worry about the things happening because if they aren't in my power to change then what is the point of it.

My thoughts exactly!

I'm thinking I won't choose all of them because everything from nuclear weapons, politics and pandemics etc is costing us a lot. but I can see it's a very beautiful monochrome photo that you share. thanks for sharing good information
