This time last month I was down in Williamsburg, Kentucky participating in the Mountain Workshops. As part of the workshop, they had sponsors set up who provided us with loaner equipment. Nikon was nowhere to be found, but Sony, Canon and Tamron were there.
Having always shot with a Nikon, the Canon and Sony tables didn't hold much interest for me but Tamron did have some stuff to fit a Nikon F mount. During the week of the workshop I got to play with their 24-70mm, 70-200mm, and 35mm, which was nice. There was also a 150-600mm lens but I had a shot limit and no use for it so it didn't get a test drive.
Sadly, I had to relinquish them at the end of the workshop. While I liked all the lenses I used, the 24-70mm was far and away my favorite, and late last week I acquired a used one. Haven't fully put it through its paces yet but did get to test it out a bit this weekend.
Had a family get together for Thanksgiving on Saturday, which was a nice test of it under terrible light conditions, then Sunday we went and wandered the waterfront along the Ohio River. These photos are all from those two occasions.
Did discover that all it takes to get a genuine smile out of @astronerd is for him to lock our stepmother out of the house.
Now I just need to familiarize myself with framing the wider end of the lens. . .
Imagine if you were given it as a gift... eh? Hahaha... what would this post be like?
Your photos are always wonderful. Congratulations. 😇
Now we don't have to imagine 😎
Thank you :)
Congratulations. Today's #monomad third place is yours.
Thank You very much for participating and for being part of the Black And White Community!
Yay, thank you!!!

That's an interesting way of putting it, but you're too kind :)
Thanks!
Ah, I'm the opposite, usually I'm on the other end but like to be able to go wide when I need to.
This one is f2.8 too, but the Tamron was half the cost of the Nikon, so I went with it.
