The gall of some people never ceases to amaze me.
Show up at an event, high on self-righteousness, just to spew hate and vitriol.
In this case it was the Kentuckiana Pride Parade and Festival this past Saturday.
As always, street preachers showed up to berate participants. Looked like they sent the junior varsity team this year.
Naturally this called for some direct action.
They were a bit confused.
Seemed to be having trouble grasping that the right to free speech was not the same thing as a right to be heard.
Our free speech was louder.
With it being Pride we had to make things festive!
Once we got the party started others joined in the fun.
They were fond of surrounding people...
... and were treated to the same.
Even the people selling t-shirts joined in the fun.
Shared their own message of love.
Hell, even a dinosaur joined in!
Their own pamphlets spoke to how unChristlike they were being.
Even tried to sic the cops on us, for assault with a deadly balloon.
Police were not impressed.
These guys regularly turn out to harass people going to the doctor.
But it ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun...
After several hours of our company they gave up and left with a ringing in their ears.
Remember y'all, direct action gets the goods!
Why do you think they were being proud??
More arrogant than proud (although they were certainly that too), they'd showed up for the sole purpose of yelling at people just trying to have a little fun.
How are you sure there sole purpose was yelling at people they were trying to tell them to follow up the lead of Jesus Christ, isn't it?
I'm an ordained minister myself, these guys gave no indication of understanding the teachings of Christ. I asked them to read Matthew 6:5 but they weren't interested.
