Your eyes are so shiny and your feathers look so satiny and soft. You're such a grown-up woman crow now, Junior.
Spring is just around the corner. Soon you're gonna marry that skinny guy crow and move away. Yes, I know about him. He pretends we're friends just because he knows you. He sneaks around on your turf when you're not looking and asks me for handouts, did you know that?
You're so much better than him, Junior.
I know, love is love and it's none of my business. Just don't let him tell you what to do. And make sure he comes to me if he can't find enough food to bring to you while you're stuck on the nest, you hear?
But Junior, really, what if you move away and I never see you again? Time passes so quickly, buddy. Maybe I should quit my job so I can spend the rest of the season with you.
Or maybe I shouldn't worry about these things, and should focus on the time we have together now. Be present, like you taught me, like you all taught me, from the beginning.
