In the history of art, there are more purist and classical currents that argue that a photograph should contain all the information. Perhaps that's where the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words” comes from. All the power of synthesis must be concentrated in a single photograph.

However, considering that photography is also an artistic expression, there are no rules and there are no limits to creativity. Anything is possible as long as it is justified.

I like to dismantle this purist idea and create diptychs. In the same image, I place two photographs side by side so that they dialogue with each other and allow for other readings, other interpretations.

Na história de arte há correntes mais puristas e clássicas que defendem que uma fotografia deve conter toda a informação. Talvez daí a frase "uma imagem vale mais que mil palavras”. Todo o poder de síntese tem de estar concentrado numa única fotografia.
ﾠ
No entanto, considerando também a fotografia como uma manifestação artística, não há regras e na criatividade não há limites. Tudo é possível desde que justificado.

Gosto de desmontar essa ideia purista e criar dípticos. Na mesma imagem coloco lado a lado duas fotografias para que elas dialoguem entre si e possibilitem outras leituras, outras interpretações.

😂 My sincere apologies. I hadn't thought of that. In fact, I even thought that mere mortals no longer existed🤣 I live even on another planet 🛸👽

But look at things from another perspective. For this, I suggest this exercise:

• Move far enough away from the monitor as if you were viewing the diptych through a 50mm lens.

• Focus on the diptych for 11 seconds.
  The image you build in your mind will be just one, and it will be the one I wanted to show.
