Hello to all! I like to observe different architectural styles, especially when it comes to church architecture. In black and white, any architecture shows its true appearance and all the advantages and disadvantages. The Church of the Archangel Michael has not only a unique history, but also a unique image preserved over a century of history. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
This small wooden temple was built in 1909 in a small village far from this place. But history has made its own adjustments.
The fact is that after the Chernobyl disaster that village became dysfunctional and the temple was moved to the city of Gomel, where it is to this day. By the way, the features of classicism are visible in the appearance of the temple.
The central entrance to the temple is one of the decorations of this place, made in the Orthodox style with beautiful attributes.
But the scenery doesn't end there. On the grounds of the temple there are several notable white figures that look like antique statues. They look great in black and white and against the background of a small church fresco made of colored stones.
There is a small stone building not far from the statues. Despite the fact that it has a small physical size, the building has an important spiritual significance. The fact is that there are reservoirs with holy water.
At this point, I decided to experiment a little with the built-in photoshop on my phone and paint an interesting church picture. It is believed that churches are sacred places that bring a person closer to heaven. The Archingel Michael Church looks great in a combination of black and white and color.
I liked the fact that the children also love to visit the temple grounds. It's not about statues or ancient architecture, it's about animals. Yes, there are animals here. For example, there is a small area where rabbits live.
There is also a pond inhabited by fish, aquatic turtles and ducks.
The Temple of Archangel Michael is unique in that it brought together history, architecture, animals and culture. Each part of the building will appeal to animal lovers, places of worship, or simply those who love silence.
Locals visit this place regularly.
I hope I was able to convey to you the atmosphere of this magnificent place. In black and white, the Temple of the Archangel Michael looks even more impressive. A historical place a place in a park with an interesting history and beautiful inhabitants, an excellent recipe for relaxation and photography.
