Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax)
A stocky adults heron with a black crown and back, and white underparts. I've seen them in creeks looking for food. this time i did saw it in a tree hiding or resting for sure. they too big not to be noticed. They are not common at the park. most likely they migrated but leaves after they eaten.
