This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Long-tailed Shrike (Lanius schach) is a species of bird in the family Laniidae.
it has long tails while brown shrike is short, both have predatory behavior.
They are carnivorous and feed on a variety of prey, including insects, small birds, rodents, and reptiles. it is more colorful than brown shrike birds. a beauty.
Can be found mostly in Asia.
At the park where i shoot. I not see them whole year found. they seem to be seasonal. only on certain months i would see them. They are solitary and very territorial.
It is a very beautiful species, but who would think that it could become a large predator. Greetings and excellent shots !
This bird eats smaller birds? 😯 It looks pretty small, too 🤔
@gatubela sorry for the late reply. i have not seen it eat small birds. but i did saw them eating snake and mice.
