monomad philippine birds

I rarely see a white collard kingfisher. got lucky to saw it but i was far.

Your photographs of birds are very good, my favorite is the Kingfisher, in Cuba there are a variety of them and very difficult to photograph because of how surly they are, excellent work.

Hi, Thank you. Here in the philippines we do have a lot of variety of kingfisher too. This one is common in the cemetary park where i shoot. Yes, it's not easy to photograph they are very sensitive and get scared. But i did got lucky and got a nice shot before. here is the photo.

btw, a longer focal lens helps. i used to have 200mm only and its hard for bird shooting. better is 600mm. thou its heavy.
