This week I went to the Recoleta neighborhood, especially to the monumentalist building where the Law Faculty of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) is. I already know many places, I know where to go and where to experience new captures. It is not the first time that I take photos of this imposing building but if it is the first time I take much longer to try to get more interesting shots. That afternoon I used a lens with a wide range: Sigma 18-250mm, very versatile although for my taste I would choose a different one (It's a friend's lens).
On the one hand I took advantage of the time since there were not so many people in the place but on the other hand, I would have liked to be there during the sunset, with different light... I should go again.
Anyway, I have prepared two series to share with you, one in black and white and one in color. I liked both versions, so I decided to do it this way.
A very particular shot, I really like how you can see the details of the concrete and the lines of the columns all together.
From the main facade, although I took this photo with a distance of 18mm I could not incorporate the entire building into the frame, it's really gigantic.
In the midst of the columns, it is where magic generally happens, the structure, people and hanging lamps make a great stage.
A girl walked from side to side while talking on the phone while some pigeons accompanied her 😄
I think that from there you can take advantage of any type of photos even portraits. In fact this has been one of the favorite places and chosen by many photographers of the city for photographic productions, urban portraits and more.
In addition, I think that when the sun is lower, the light could be reflected in the middle of each column, this would be wonderful to be like that. So I will have to be there during that moment to know if what I imagine happens.
I have many favorites but I could consider this photo in the top 3, it could even become my number one. I liked the composition too much, the two windows on the sides, the column in the middle and only a person sitting there. I think there is a good contrast between the gigantic and the tiny (person and structure)... Minimalist? I'm not sure yet.
In the next photo it seems that this was a coliseum, I had never portrayed this building from this angle before.
Would you use this building for a portrait session? Would you focus on architecture photography? Or would you do street photography? I am sure that anyone you choose will be a good idea. I would like to find more building in this style in the city, especially for the columns.

Have a great day/night and thanks for appreciating.
That's all folks. Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.

Muy buen trabajo colega 👍
It's as if I were in Greece but in reality it's Buenos Aires, that's the universal architecture.
I love photographing in this type of places.
Thanks for the support 🙌🏻😊
Hello, nice photos. And it looks like it is where Hercules lives.
How great to see it that way, but it is true. Thanks a lot @luthis26
Wow. Imponentes, transmiten majestuosidad, la persona se empequeñece ante tanta adquitectura. Preciosas las fotos. Felicitaciones.
