New and Old Trains, Shadows and People - Monomad Challenge.

DSC_0851.jpg

A few days ago I had shared some photos of a very particular place in the city of Buenos Aires, exactly in the Colegiales neighborhood. They remodeled the place and renovated an old park. The design is very striking but I focused more on the tracks and trains. Colegiales Railway Park is the name of this place. Basically it could be considered a train cemetery since there were many abandoned trains there and in a pretty deplorable state... A lot of rust.

It was obvious that I was going to dedicate some black and white photos of this tour, I personally love how photos of trains and tracks look without colors.

I begin this article by sharing some shots of the new train that runs on the tracks, these trains belong to the company "Trenes Argentinos" and this is the MITRE branch.

Just a few meters away is the Colegiales station and during my visit the train passed about three times so I captured several shots especially while it was on a pedestrian bridge.

The combination of the iron of the bridge, the trees or the natural environment with the passing of the train seemed to me to be a very interesting combination.

Old Abandoned Trains.

These are some of the abandoned trains in this part of the park. Old trains that are outdoors, under any type of weather conditions, metal garbage that should have been removed from there a long time ago, even years ago.

Many or almost all of the trains that are there have graffiti, even though there is a fence that delimits the area, some decide to jump and access these vehicles.

Here are some black and white photos as I told you days ago @friendlymoose I hope you like them :)

Shadows on the Grass.

I stood on the bridge for a few minutes, I had already taken most of the photos and I kept thinking that there must be something else that is not in my naked eye. Something that went unnoticed while looking at the grass.

I saw the shadow of the bridge over the pass and watched as the people passed by, their silhouettes.

I took these four photos, you can see the beams of the bridge, the shadows of some trees and the shadows of some people as they walked from one side to the other.

People on the Bridge.

Before going up there I took a photo of the entire structure and also others from above. Some people and details like that lock. I thought they only put a "love" lock on the woman's suspension bridge, a famous symbol of the city of Buenos Aires. I see that this practice is done in places like these too.

A black and white version of the Colegiales railway park in the city of Buenos Aires. I promised myself to return with the intention of portraying the spaces of the park itself since this time I focused on the tracks, the new and old trains and the bridge.

I hope you like these shots and I also hope you have a great day today or the rest of it :)

Thanks mate, bnw is perfect for trains :)

The trains work well in B&W!
I also like the one with the lock. But the last one is the best I think. A nice tunnel to draw my eyes to the people in the tunnel.

I figured you might like them in black and white. Trains, rails, people and structures look cool and more attractive like this. Thanks for your nice comment @friendlymoose friend :)

Who can resist the charm of trains, especially when in black and white?

It's impossible to resist that charm :) thanks for stopping by and feedback.

Greetings @dimascastillo90 ,

Lovely work! What a panorama view of these trains, bridges, tracks, trees and shadows....what is not to appreciate.....thank you!

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

A little bit of everything ;) It's a good place to take some photos and relax! It's good to read you and know that you liked these shots @bleujay friend!

Greetings and take care 🙂

Good way to tell a story with your captures, it is very likely that some or several of those cars are home to people or families, but I am also surprised by the amount of abandoned cars that are there, why were they left there, why weren't they removed, were they really no longer useful or is it the fault of mismanagement of resources? So many questions and few answers
