Hello lovers of black and white and of photography as a whole. This time I bring an unusual photo shoot, a washing sequence. But washing by hand, as my grandmother used to do when I was a child. I remember that it was a titanic task, sometimes the clothes were boiled, especially the whites, and then washed piece by piece, scrubbing hard and even hitting them with a piece of wood to loosen the dirt. This was very common in the country houses, washing was done in the classic "bateas" made of cast cement. There wasn't a country house that didn't have one of those. Well yes, there were some that didn't have one and people would go to the river to wash, even worse. When I was visiting my mother-in-law's house, she started to wash some clothes and from where I could see it, I found it very interesting to photograph it.
There was an interesting mix of lights and shadows, especially for shooting with a telephoto lens. I quickly set up the camera, which I had luckily taken on that trip, and set out to photograph that sequence. I really liked the result of this. There are still many houses in this country where washing is done in this primitive way due to lack of options and energy resources. I only hope that this year the situation improves in this sense, otherwise I think that the rivers will not be enough. With these images I want to enter the daily challenge #monomad. see you!

Hola amantes del blanco y negro y de la fotografía toda. En esta ocasión traigo una sesión fotográfica poco usual, una secuencia de lavado. Pero lavado a mano, como lo hacía mi abuela cuando yo era niño. Recuerdo que eso era una tarea titánica, en ocasiones se hervía la ropa sobre todo la blanca para después lavar pieza por pieza de ropa, restregando fuerte hasta incluso dar golpes con un trozo de madera para aflojar la suciedad. Eso se veía mucho en las casas de campo, se lavaba en las clásicas 'bateas" hechas de cemento fundido. No había una casa de campo que no tuviera una de esas. Bueno si, había algunas que no tenían y las personas iban a lavar al río a lavar, peor aún. Estando de visita en casa de mi suegra, ella se pone a lavar unas piezas de ropa y desde donde yo la veía me resultó muy interesante fotografiar el hecho. Había una mezcla interesante de luces y sombras, especial para hacer tomas con un teleobjetivo. Rápidamente preparé la cámara, que la había llevado a ese viaje por suerte y me dispuse a fotografiar esa secuencia. Me gustó mucho el resultado de esto. Todavía hay muchas casas en este país donde se lava de esta forma tan primitiva por falta de opciones y recursos energéticos. Una gran secuencia de fotos, me hizo recordar mis viajes al campo donde veía lavar la ropa en el río, igual la golpeaban con un palo e increíblemente quedaba muy limpia, buenas fotos.
