Hello dear friends of black and white and street photography. As romantic, interesting and exotic as street photography may seem, in this case it always uncovers the sadness and dramatic charge of the environment, and more so in black and white captures. It is true that Old Havana is an unquestionable scenario for this type of photography, 24 hours a day, but it reveals the architectural and constructive abandonment, good and also social, that this city has been suffering from for a long time. One gets used to these landscapes half wild and sweet at the same time. It is like a good jungle more or less safe.
However, it is a living picture thanks to the people who live there, always on the street doing something or other, working, figuring out what to eat that day, playing or wasting time. That, that daily and natural interaction of the people, without fear or concealment is what makes the image alive, joyful and spontaneous. A natural expression without pose is a portrait to the soul of the person, or well also of the dog, as in this occasion. We can almost deduce what he thinks 😳. Thanks to this old part of town, and old in every sense, it is old and looks old and neglected, there are amazing sceneries for cinematography and photography. Maybe in the near or distant future it will be completely restored, it would need it. With these images I want to make entry to the daily challenge #monomad. I hope you like this photo shoot, see you!

The truth is that they are decadent scenes but at the same time they are beautiful, that contrast between everything that makes up each of the compositions.
Great photos, my friend! As you rightly point out, that part of the city, though already old, is also quite neglected. However, its contrasts are truly fascinating. Hopefully, it will be restored in the near future.
