I’ve reached the age where the couples I photograph at weddings are younger than me. It’s strange because it used to be the opposite, but lately, that has changed more and more. These newlyweds are only a little younger than me, but still, they are. It’s beautiful to see them because, in a way, I’m a romantic, and watching couples who have been together for years finally get married is something special.
Ya estoy en la edad donde a las bodas a las que asisto como fotógrafo, los casados tienen menos edad que yo. Es raro porque siempre era lo contrario, y últimamente varía más. Estos novios solo son un poco más jóvenes que yo, pero igual lo son. Es lindo para mí verlos porque, de cierta forma, soy un romántico, y es lindo ver a estas parejas con años siendo novios casarse.
I’m not a religious person. Romantic movies aren’t my favorite genre—in fact, they’re the genre I enjoy the least. But on the other hand, I truly love the emotional side of my work. It genuinely captivates, motivates, and excites me to witness these love stories unfold.
Yo no soy una persona religiosa. Las películas románticas no son mi género favorito, de hecho, es el género que menos disfruto de películas. Pero, por el lado contrario, me gusta mucho el aspecto emotivo de mi trabajo. Genuinamente me cautiva, motiva y entusiasman estas historias de amor.
There’s something beautiful about love that endures despite everything. And in today’s world, where individuality is often prioritized above all else, seeing young people commit to each other in this way is something I deeply admire and respect.
Es muy bello este amor que se sostiene a pesar de todo, y para personas jóvenes, en esta actualidad donde se prima mucho más la individualidad, es algo que valoro y respeto mucho.
