Flooding Down at the Nature Reserve

One of my neighbours used to work at the now defunct coking plant that thankfully got turned into a nature reserve. No more horrible smells! We've had such a lot of rain, I wasn't sure where the man-made ponds and the flooding started and finished.

I think the tufted ducks and gulls were enjoying the extra water even if nobody else was.

It was impossible to walk on the flooded path around the pond unless you had wellingtons on, of course. I had to double back and go a different way.

Walking back to the middle of the village, the bonded pair of swans was on the side of the lido. I wonder how many cygnets they will have this year?

This is my entry to the #monomad challenge.

These look nice in black and white. Very calming atmosphere with light flooding!

Thank you. Need my wellingtons next time. 🙂

I would love to have Wellington boots too! They are very comfortable! Here the rubber boots were very uncomfortable! I had to give away four pairs already!

Oh dear. Mine are comfy but hate taking them off. It tires me out. 😁

There's sure been a lot of rain!!!

I'm just ordering a canoe off Amazon. 😁
