Walking around the Longshaw Estate is always a good place to have a perfect walk in the Peak District in Derbyshire. We come here quite often, whatever the season.
There’s lots of flat walks, a magical looking wood with gnarly looking trees, babbling streams, and lots of nooks and crannies for the kids to play. If elves and goblins existed, this is the place they'd live.
It can get quite busy here, but I think the icy cold weather kept people away today. Sometimes, it's nice to have the place to yourself.
Spot the lone sheep under the tree.
We walked past the Granby Discovery Barn, which has information on local wildlife and the history of the area inside. It still wasn't very warm inside, though. It definitely wasn't a day for hanging about.
