earlier this summer i took this series while staying in Oslo a couple of days. they range from Tøyen through Grønland to the Oslo S railway station and up to and around the cathedral and Karl Johan.
when alone i tend to explore back streets where there are fewer people. and while many of these shots are taken in crowded places they feature scenes where bypassers are incidental. i am not trying to portray emptiness. it's rather that through the absence of individuals in the scenes i hope to express the essence of the presence of the people in a more general way beyond the appearance of particular characters.
in my posts i usually comment each photo but in this series i prefer to let the photos explain themselves. the only text is translations of the norwegian in the photos to english
am i allowed to dream?
the mocked ones
the condom shop
this is part 1 of a 2-part series i took with my S22 phone.
