Frost and snow, blizzard and wind make our everyday life cleaner. It would be more correct to call this album "Flowers of Death". During these winter holidays I managed to walk several times along our Vasileostrovskaya river Smolenka. The January blockade dates are ahead. Petersburg is rapidly growing as people without family or neighborhood blockade historical memory. But there is still someone to talk to about siege days.
In January I read poems by O. Berggolts and "The Blockade Book" by D. Granin and A. Adamovich. By the way, during these Christmas days I noticed that strangers tried to smile at each other when they met. But somehow too timidly…. Some people ask: why remember the blockade several times a year? I think, and in order to greet each other without timidity, without false embarrassment, as citizens with a common historical past that determines life values.
