Hello Black and White community. I have not been consistent with my posting this past few weeks due to work tight work schedule and also i'm having that writers block since my last posting 2 weeks ago. This mental struggles that I'm having is also now infecting my will power and idea's to finish my pending video edit works. So, today I decided to put on an effort to post an entry about my trip back to Kuala Penyu last 2 weeks ago. A small town located to the south of Kota Kinabalu about 2 hours drive that covers 101.8KM. This town is very small and quite peaceful with not many people seen roaming around it by the time I arrived there to have a lunch in one of the seaside restaurant. This time, my visit to Kuala Penyu is not alone as during my posting Here before which is another beautiful side of this district. This time my visit to this town also a work travel purposes in which my client is requesting to have a family portraiture session in one of the resort located just about 15 minutes drive from this small town of Kuala Penyu. I bring along my friend @tommyl33 to help me during the session and went to roam around this small town hunting for street photo.
This is the view from the table that we sat while having our lunch that afternoon. The day is very dry and hot especially this town located near to the sea, it even feels hotter than usual. Based on the Malaysia Meteorology Department prediction, it's the start of a long dry and hot season until the month of September with very scarcely rain fall.
This small kitten a visitor to our table at the time. She's seems like waiting to be feed but when we gave her food, she's just ignored it and walk away. I just don't understand her taste or maybe she's just want to be pet on.
A very humble looking cafe but when the food came, it taste very good. By the time we get in here, it's quite late already for my stomach to fill in because of the gastric I have but suprisingly, I'm able to finish my meal quite fast. I may want to repeat back here by my next visit here in the future. Hopefully I will not forget it and I have this blog to remind me back the taste of their foods.
Coincidently during our visit here, there's a district level of Kaamatan celebration happening in town and there's a VVIP that will be officiating the event. Thus, there's a lot of police escort having lunch in this area while waiting for the arrival of VVIP's. At first, I'm quite curious as to why there's a lot of police roaming around the town and this is the reason.
A long time ago before there's a bridge connecting the two side of this district, the people here used a ferry to cross the river to get to the other side of the village.
This one aunty is having a great time fishing just in front of us painting a beautiful frame for my camera to capture. I've taken this through my spectacle and gives this kind of looks.
An up closed look of the jetty that used to be busy a long time ago.
And this is the iconic bridge of Kuala Penyu town that connecting two places that once upon a time need to used the ferry to get across to. Honestly, this really help to connect the town and the small other villages separated by the river.
During my visit this time, I really take sometime to roam around the town and capturing the vintage feelings that the town still have through their old shop lot design. There are not many left of it. At least in the future when the buildings is not there anymore, I managed to get a picture of it for the future generation to look. I will be posting again another part of the town that we roam in the next post as I'll have to continue with my pending video editing works first. I'm hoping to kickstart my will to work with this posting and hopefully it works or maybe I should start doing this routine in the morning instead🤔. Until then, have a great day everyone and thank you for visiting my blog 😁✌
