El barrio donde vivo se ha convertido en una total exploración visual con el diario vivir. Transitando cada calle del barrio he podido percibir muchas texturas, además, un contraste entre lo natural del campo y el asfalto de la modernidad. La resistencia a la transformación se respira en la ciudad, lo rural y urbano coexisten de una manera que ha llamado mi atención durante mucho tiempo, tanto que en esta oportunidad me he permitido explorar esta singularidad que terminó en un experimento audiovisual. La conjunción de elementos han inspirado mi creatividad, un ejercicio de exploración visual donde me olvidé de "reglas" y solo me dejé influenciar por lo que me trasmite el entorno.
The neighborhood where I live has become a total visual exploration with the daily life. Walking through each street of the neighborhood I have been able to perceive many textures, in addition, a contrast between the natural of the countryside and the asphalt of modernity. The resistance to transformation is breathed in the city, the rural and urban coexist in a way that has called my attention for a long time, so much so that in this opportunity I have allowed myself to explore this singularity that ended up in an audiovisual experiment. The conjunction of elements have inspired my creativity, an exercise of visual exploration where I forgot about “rules” and just let myself be influenced by what the environment transmits to me.
El concreto y la vegetación, lo urbano y lo rural, parecen dialogar con gran armonía, y esto traté de expresarlo de manera visual, tomando la yuxtaposición como anclaje creativo. En primera instancia usé la fotografía para identificar con claridad lo que observaba en mi mente. He construido nuevas composiciones entrelazando estos dos mundos aparentemente opuestos, pero que viven armoniosamente, donde los habitantes del lugar lo trasmiten con mucha normalidad día a día. Visualizar la conjugación de estos elementos con una estética audiovisual fue interesante, en principio no tenía claro como resultaría todo este experimento.
Concrete and vegetation, urban and rural, seem to dialogue with great harmony, and I tried to express this in a visual way, taking juxtaposition as a creative anchor. In the first instance I used photography to clearly identify what I observed in my mind. I have built new compositions intertwining these two apparently opposite worlds, but that live harmoniously, where the inhabitants of the place transmit it with much normality day by day. Visualizing the conjugation of these elements with an audiovisual aesthetic was interesting, at first I was not sure how this experiment would turn out.
El resultado ha sido un interesante ejercicio visual, la fusión de la fotografía y el montaje audiovisual entrelazados. Llevar mi anclaje creativo a la edición, me ayudó a encontrar las herramientas dentro de Adobe Premiere; me llevó a usar los modos de fusión para lograr expresar la dualidad del barrio, no solo visualmente, sino la expresión del vivir y el pensar de las personas que dan vida al barrio. La interacción entre lo urbano y el campo del barrio se ha visto representada como texturas superpuestas, creando nuevos patrones para dar origen a nuevas interpretaciones.
The result has been an interesting visual exercise, the fusion of photography and audiovisual editing intertwined. Bringing my creative anchor to editing helped me to find the tools within Adobe Premiere; it led me to use the fusion modes to express the duality of the neighborhood, not only visually, but the expression of the living and thinking of the people who give life to the neighborhood. The interaction between the urban and the countryside of the neighborhood has been represented as overlapping textures, creating new patterns to give rise to new interpretations.
El ejercicio experimental me ayudó a explorar nuevas formas y técnicas de edición de video, teniendo presente la fotografía como base; a partir de la fotografía se transforma la dinámica en movimiento para proponer una visión artística de lo cotidiano, una perspectiva bastante personal sobre mi interpretación de las vivencias del barrio. En ningún momento pensé que la fotografía podría ser un puente para llevarme a este experimento. El resultado final me agradó muchísimo, considero que se refleja la esencia del lugar donde vivo, entre texturas y naturaleza. También me reafirma que la creatividad con objetivo y fundamento es capaz de originar cosas increíbles y sin límites.
The experimental exercise helped me to explore new forms and techniques of video editing, keeping in mind photography as a base; from photography the dynamics is transformed into movement to propose an artistic vision of the everyday, a very personal perspective on my interpretation of the experiences of the neighborhood. At no time did I think that photography could be a bridge to lead me to this experiment. The final result pleased me very much, I think it reflects the essence of the place where I live, between textures and nature. It also reaffirms to me that creativity with objective and foundation is capable of originating incredible and limitless things.
Esta es mi propuesta para el reto #monomad. Las fotos han sido capturadas en la ciudad de Duitama, Boyacá, Colombia. Usé un teléfono Moto G22, tanto para las fotos como para los videos. Edité las fotos en Silver Efex Pro y Adobe Lightroom; y el video en Adobe Premiere Pro.

It is a very interesting post with excellent photos and an audiovisual experiment that I loved. It reminded me of silent films. Urban stories that are pasted one on top of the other, as if we were accumulating visions and these were left in a carousel to pass in front of our eyes... the music is the climax. It is a true symphony.
