Pupila del Ser: Esencia Consciente | Pupil of the Self: Conscious Essence [ESP-ING]

El ejercicio visual de introspección que he venido publicando desde hace un tiempo, ha potenciado mucho mi transformación y autoconocimiento, en el que cada revelación fotográfica me ha permitido abrir puertas subconscientes de manera muy interesante. No solía hacer fotos pensadas para blanco y negro, sin embargo, al hacer mi primer ejercicio, pude darme cuenta de muchas revelaciones que exploraban mis más complejos pensamientos. Al observar el desbloqueo que cada ejercicio me permite hacer, he caído en la esencia de este camino, la cual, a partir de esta publicación, la llamaré: Pupila del Ser.

The visual exercise of introspection that I have been publishing for some time now, has greatly enhanced my transformation and self-knowledge, in which each photographic revelation has allowed me to open subconscious doors in a very interesting way. I never used to take photos intended for black and white, however, by doing my first exercise, I was able to realize many revelations that explored my most complex thoughts. By observing the unblocking that each exercise allows me to do, I have fallen into the essence of this path, which, from this publication onwards, I will call it: Pupil of Being.

Nuestra vida es un reflejo de lo que pensamos y sentimos, así somos, y con base en ello actuamos, nos fijamos en detalles sin explicación aparente, emociones y sentimientos internos que nos hacen una invitación a replantearnos nuestra propia esencia, quizás, volver a ella. La técnica fotográfica que aísla el ruido del color, potencia lo simple, cuya interpretación se hace más significativa dado que se suprimen las distracciones, enfocándonos en la esencia más pura de la lectura visual. Esta guía no sería una farsa si nos autoengañarnos, tampoco funcionaría si no nos permitimos vernos a sí mismo con nobleza y empatía.

Our life is a reflection of what we think and feel, that's how we are, and based on it we act, we look at details without apparent explanation, emotions and inner feelings that make us an invitation to rethink our own essence, perhaps, to return to it. The photographic technique that isolates noise from color, enhances the simple, whose interpretation becomes more meaningful since distractions are suppressed, focusing us on the purest essence of visual reading. This guide would not be a sham if we were self-deceptive, nor would it work if we did not allow ourselves to see ourselves with nobility and empathy.

Recuerdo que cuando empecé con estos ejercicios tenía una fijación por casas viejas, puertas rotas, cercados de construcción, y me costó interpretar un poco, hasta que caí en cuenta que mi vida en ese entonces estaba algo rota. Los silencios mentales empezaron a tener otra abertura dentro de mí. Poco a poco los ejercicios se empezaron a convertir en un lente y una guía espiritual. En esta oportunidad, pude notar que algunas fotografías elegantes y con alto grado de estética, de una u otra forma, representan el orden que le he dado a mi vida, con un enfoque más determinado, con muchos pensamientos en su lugar, en equilibrio. Para muchos estas imágenes pueden ser simples fotografías, escenarios sin sentido y abstractos, aunque pueden ser la exploración más auténtica hacia el rescate de nuestra verdadera esencia.

I remember when I started with these exercises I had a fixation for old houses, broken doors, construction fences, and I had a hard time interpreting a bit, until I realized that my life at that time was somewhat broken. The mental silences began to have another opening within me. Little by little the exercises began to become a lens and a spiritual guide. In this opportunity, I could notice that some elegant and highly aesthetic photographs, in one way or another, represent the order I have given to my life, with a more determined focus, with many thoughts in place, in balance. For many these images may be simple photographs, meaningless and abstract scenarios, although they may be the most authentic exploration towards the rescue of our true essence.

Las fotografías de texturas las he relacionado simbólicamente con el levantamiento de la piel, la exploración de esas grietas que levantamos de nosotros mismo para ir a lo más profundo de nuestra psicología. También, el imperfecto y la aleatoriedad de las formas puede ser una metáfora de lo complejo que pueden llegar a ser los estados emocionales e internos del ser humano. Por otro lado, llamo poderosamente mi atención las fotografías de los botes de basura, eso me dejó pensado un buen rato. Luego de una buena reflexión, caigo en cuenta de todas esas cosas que he tenido que deshacerme, de tantos aspectos de mi vida innecesarios que no me aportaban; la vida, de alguna manera, me fue aislado de muchos lugares, e incluso, personas.

The photographs of textures I have symbolically related to the lifting of the skin, the exploration of those cracks that we lift from ourselves to go to the deepest part of our psychology. Also, the imperfect and randomness of shapes can be a metaphor for how complex the emotional and internal states of the human being can be. On the other hand, the photographs of the garbage cans caught my attention, that left me thinking for a while. After a good reflection, I realize all those things I had to get rid of, so many unnecessary aspects of my life that did not contribute to me; life, somehow, has isolated me from many places, and even people.
