Echoes of a burning forest

Wildfires are a common sight in Uttarakhand during summers, fueled by the dried pine needles carpeting the forest. I’ve seen them from far and even up close in the forests, but this time it felt different. The fire came up from the valleys and reached the streets, bringing chaos and confusion. By the time I reached the spot, the fire had been extinguished, and the once golden forest carpet was now charred black. Here are some photos I took that day. I hope they show what it was like..

It is certainly unfortunate the fires in the forests, but I must say that you have made some incredible photographs of the event, very good result!
