Kumbh is a religious ritual of Hinduism under which people take bath in the Ganga river

Today's post is about the Kumbh Mela held in 2021. Where Hindu saints and sages took bath on the first day of Kumbh. Kumbh is a religious ritual of Hinduism under which when people take bath in the river Ganga, they attain salvation and peace. It is also very difficult to know since when Kumbh is being organized.

Kumbh is organized every four years, these 4 places are Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik and Prayagraj. I have participated in only one Kumbh so far and that is the Haridwar one. This time I had to go to Prayagraj where I could not go despite wanting to. Now the next Kumbh will be organized in Ujjain in 2029. I will definitely go there.

I reached Haridwar from Delhi, Delhi is the capital of India from where buses for Haridwar are available every hour. I also took a late night bus at 10 pm. Haridwar is 250 km from Delhi and the bus takes 6 hours to complete this journey. I got off the bus at around 4 in the morning and started walking towards my destination.

After booking a room in Haridwar, I leave to do the work for which I have come here. I see the mahatmas getting ready, everyone has put ash on their body, some have trident, damru, mridang, dholak, tongs and Rudraksha beads in their hands. I was overwhelmed by the sights here. How did you like Kumbh?

This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
