Monomad Challenge - Above the Tree Line Among Towering Peaks

It is not that old, covid-19 has just ended and I set out with my camera, my sleeping bag and my rucksack towards Uttarakhand which is also known as Devbhoomi. I have decided that I will not stop anywhere before Rudranath temple. Rudranath temple is situated at 3600 meters and is one of the Panch Kedar. It is a Hindu temple where Lord Shiva is worshipped.

From Delhi I reached Haridwar from where I take a bus to Gopeshwar which takes me through the hilly roads in a few hours and drops me at Gopeshwar where I visit Gopeshwar Mahadev and spend a few days here in the shelter of God. Now the next target is Sagar village which is 5 km away from Gopeshwar. I did not get a bus but I leave by taking a local taxi.

It takes 30 minutes to cover 5 km, here I stay at a home stay and visit the temple of Raja Sagar. The next day I start the difficult trek to Rudranath. To reach this magnificent temple located about 24 km away, I have to cross the forest, mountains and snow as this temple is situated at 3600 meters which is above the tree line.

So after reaching the temple, I see a magnificent view in front where the Himalayan range is shining like the sun. About 256 mountain pictures are visible from here. I am sharing closeups of some pictures in these 256 pictures with you. Because the weather was quite hazy, the details of all the photos are visible very well after editing in black and white.

The highest peak Nanda Devi is visible from here which is 7816 meters high, Hardeol Peak 7151 meters, Trishul Peak 7120 meters and Dunagiri 7066 meters. About 5 mountains are visible above 7000 meters from here. Because this place is very special from the religious point of view, hence there is a religious energy spread all around here which you can feel with a true heart.

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge
