What is the meaning of my fun today? Let me tell you, today I have a table on which my laptop is kept, fast wifi is connected. Hot coffee is kept with the left hand and headphones are in the ears in which the song released 3 days ago is playing on repeat mode. The song is Haryanvi whose lyrics are “Yo chhoda rehta nehra paar”.
Today's post is again about the sand dunes of Jaisalmer. These are the patterns of sand formed on the roadside which can be seen from anywhere while going to Longewala. I was here in a road running event and during this event I got a chance to roam Jaisalmer, Longewala and other places. I did not know that the patterns formed on sand can be so amazing.
Storms and cyclones come in these desert fields located in the state of Rajasthan, they are so dangerous that they take away everything with them. But the thing is that there is very little population here, there are only a few villages along the highway where only a few people live, so the damage during the storm is very less.
The photos are of December 2024, it is morning time. The sun is rising and the light filtering from the horizon is hitting the patterns of sand created by the wind, so the sand is shining like gold. Because I did not sleep last night, I am also hallucinating a bit. The shining sand feels like gold to me. I am thinking in a light unconscious state that who would have kept so much gold here.
I get down from the car, go out, take the sand in my fist and looking towards the sky, just say this much that "Who are you that I am seeing in this ravine, if you have any answer then give it, otherwise I will tell you". And when I don't get any response I shout loudly, "This gold is not you, it is me. I am seeing myself with my own eyes and feeling my face shining golden in the first rays of the sun."
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
