Architecture and Nature
Today we will go into a tour that will take us through one of the most fantastic places in the city of Caracas, this is a small territorial enclave that according to Venezuelan law enjoys university autonomy, which gives it a kind of self-management in the economic, administrative and academic areas, which means that in practice this area is clearly separated from the rest of the capital city and it is just within this campus where we can find a fascinating oasis, which perfectly combines a lush nature, exquisite architecture and elegant artistic pieces.

Hoy nos adentraremos en un recorrido que nos llevará por uno de los lugares más fantásticos de la ciudad de Caracas, se trata de un pequeño enclave territorial que según la legislación venezolana goza de autonomía universitaria, lo cual le confiere una especie de autogestión en los ámbitos económicos, administrativos y académicos, lo que significa que en la práctica esta área se separa claramente del resto de la ciudad capital y es justo dentro de este campus en donde podemos encontrar un oasis fascinante, el cual combina de forma perfecta a una exuberante naturaleza, exquisita arquitectura y elegantes piezas artísticas.
Touring the various spaces that make up the university city of Caracas is really very exciting, since all this modern architectural ensemble is really a living example of human genius, since we are talking about a space that is perfectly adapted to its geographical location, it is also designed to effectively meet the goal that was entrusted to it, which is to be the epicenter of higher education nationwide, therefore, it is here where men and women are formed in whose hands is the future of the nation.
Recorrer los diversos espacios que conforman la ciudad universitaria de Caracas es realmente muy emocionante, ya que todo este conjunto arquitectónico moderno es realmente un ejemplo vivo de la genialidad humana, puesto que estamos hablando de un espacio que se adapta perfectamente a su situación geográfica, además se encuentra ideado para cumplir de forma eficaz la meta que le fue encomendada, la cual consiste en ser el epicentro de la educación superior a nivel nacional, por lo tanto, es acá en donde se forman los hombres y mujeres en cuyas manos está el futuro de la nación.
There is no doubt that when crossing the access points to the university city we find architectural structures with characteristics and features typical of those that were fashionable in the 50's, but despite being in the second decade of the XXI century these buildings are still fascinating, very resistant and perfectly fulfill their academic and research functions, which I think is great, because it shows that the architect's mind managed to design a really useful work over time.
Es indudable que al cruzar los puntos de acceso a la ciudad universitaria nos encontremos con estructuras arquitectónicas con características y rasgos típicos a aquellas que estuvieron de moda en la época de los 50, pero a pesar de encontrarnos en la segunda década del siglo XXI estos edificios siguen siendo fascinantes, muy resistentes y cumplen a la perfección con sus funciones académicas e investigativas, lo cual me parece genial, ya que nos demuestra que la mente del arquitecto logró diseñar una obra realmente útil a través del tiempo.
In this university campus nothing is placed at random, here everything is very well thought out and located, therefore, it is an artistically impressive set, where the straight lines and the robustness of the concrete are mixed with the curved and abstract lines of hundreds of trees and leaves that give us a huge dose of freshness and at the same time an incredible vitality.
En este campus universitario nada está colocado al azar, aquí todo está muy bien pensado y ubicado, por lo tanto, se trata de un conjunto artísticamente impresionante, en dónde las líneas rectas y la robustez del concreto se mezclan con los trazos curvos y abstractos de cientos de árboles y hojas que nos regalan una enorme dosis de frescura y al mismo tiempo una vitalidad increíble.
The university city of Caracas is full of impressive details, which range from large murals to artistic facades, from impressive and imposing buildings to stupid forest of trees, with all this I mean that we are facing a very complete space, where you can see with total clarity that urban progress can go hand in hand with respect and love for nature around us, which is gives the whole world an example that when we use the most of our intelligence and creative abilities we are able to generate unique environments.
La ciudad universitaria de Caracas está repleta de detalles impresionantes, los cuales van desde grandes murales hasta fachadas artísticas, desde impresionantes e imponentes edificios hasta bosque estúpidos de árboles, con todo esto quiero decir que nos encontramos frente a un espacio muy completo, en donde se pueda apreciar con total claridad que el avance urbanístico puede ir de la mano con el respeto y el amor por la naturaleza que nos rodea, lo cual es le brinda al mundo entero un ejemplo de que cuando utilizamos al máximo nuestra inteligencia y las capacidades creativas somos capaces de generar ambientes únicos.
Having the opportunity to walk through the spaces of the university city of Caracas is always an extremely pleasant experience for me, since it allows me to travel back in time and helps me to relive those beautiful moments spent in those spaces in my student days, it also helps me to discover new things and at the same time feel proud that my university campus continues to be a beacon of light in the midst of a world full of difficulties and shadows.
Tener la oportunidad de recorrer los espacios de la ciudad universitaria de Caracas es para mí siempre una experiencia extremadamente agradable, ya que me permite viajar en el tiempo y me ayuda a revivir aquellos lindos momentos que pasen esos espacios en mi época de estudiante, además me ayuda a descubrir cosas nuevas y al mismo tiempo sentirme orgulloso de que mi campus universitario sigue siendo un faro de luz en medio de un mundo cargado de dificultades y sombras.
