Hello friends
After a few months of study in Da Nang city, finally, I could come back to my countryside to visit my grandmother.
She is 93 years old but still really tough. After my grandfather passed away, she lives alone with few cats. She still can cook her meal, raise some chickens, and love walking around the neighborhood to have a chit-chat with her friends. She is an independent woman, what she can do by herself she never asks for help. And if she needs help, my ant is right next door. She is a typical grandma, who loves their grandchildren so much without conditional. When I was a kid, every time she visited us, she always bought me some snacks or something she cooked at home and grabbed it in banana leaf. Everyone loves my grandmother.
She loves eating betel and areca, like many old people in Viet Nam. She has a small plastic bag that contains some chopped areca and her little pestle and mortar. She uses that little pestle and mortar to crushes those areca to make them easy to eat. When we were kids, my sister and I were fighting just because we all want to help grandma crush betel and areca. So memorable.
Now we nearly become an adult and we can't see my grandma often like before. And when we come home, we just want her still standing there, still strong, and welcome us with the warmest smile and all the love in this world.
