I made a little furry friend today at the park. The squirrel was a very curious fellow and I got to say one of the most friendliest that I’ve interacted with.

The squirrel did not mind me getting too close to it even though I really didn’t have to get incredibly close since I had my 200mm Jupiter lens with me.

This was the first time I took, what is my longest lens, for a little field exercise. I have however taken the 200mm lens on a few live event shoots since receiving it in the mail about two weeks ago.

Much like the 135mm Jupiter lens I am very much in love with the look and feel of this tank of a lens. The Bokeh on it is quite mesmerizing and it’s sharpness wide open, if you could call it that, at F4. It’s quite outstanding.

As usual I used my Panasonic Lumix GH4 and I’m pretty sure I kept my aperture at 1/60, the ISO fluctuated depending on the amount of sun and shade available. Photos were edited in Adobe Lightroom.

Next time I’ll have to reward the squirrels in the area with some food for their awesome poses and comfort with being so close to me. I don’t think I’ve been this close to a squirrel since I was a kid and used to feed them. What food do you recommend giving to squirrels?

Awwww how cute. Bw fits it well. Some unsalted peanuts might be something they could like ;)
Unsalted peanuts, noted! Adding that to the grocery list. Thank you.
😅 If something happens...it wasn't me 😂 ...just kidding
I'm sure they will appreciate it. An apple might work as well. But yah nuts always go with a squirrel 😄
I think we used to just give them bread as a kid, but I imagine that's not the healthiest thing.
Solid shots👍
Thank you!
