It's been a while since I haven't seen these lads playing skimboard, yesterday as I was strolling on the shorelines a friend of mine told me that there were lads playing skimboard on the other side of the shoreline and said to me if I could do photoshoots of them. Without hesitation, I went back home to get my camera since it was just a walking distance and headed immediately to where the lads played skimboard.
As much as I remember lads playing skimboard used to be many but from what I noticed there were only three of them now. So I asked one of the lads as to where the other skimboarders and the lad answered that some of their members were already in school but he also added that they still gather and play during weekends. And yet these lads still nail all those coming waves. Here are some of the snaps I took.
First off, is this lad who I recently knew that joined a skimboard competition last month in the neighboring town, particularly in the town of Argao, and yet bagged an award as 3rd runner up.
While his two other friends didn't join the competition as they told me that the competition mechanics should have only one representative in every town but still these two lads show off their competitive stunts, look how they shred these waves. Considering that the skimboards of these lads are all hand-crafted by them as well and they just put paints and designs in it.
