Hi there Black and White community, I hope everyone is safe and doing well wherever you are right now. And for today's content, I will be sharing some of our underwater snaps using the Go Pro action camera. It was last week that we went to this beautiful island of Sumilon an island resort which is located in the southern part of Cebu, in the town of Oslob in particular. Knowing that it was a beach resort that we going I brought my fins with me and I also advise Janine to bring hers as well since there's a big chance that we'll be doing a fun dive.
And indeed, we did a fun dive at the island resort, and since it's just the two of us in the group who do freediving we did turns in taking photos with the action camera. Here are some of our snaps underwater which I turned into Black and White for these photos will be my entry as well for the #monomad challenge of @monochromes.
To get a decent underwater shot someone had to descend first and position her/himself in good composition. Just like what I did with these shots, I captured Janine as she did the duck dive while I position myself behind a coral reef which turns out to be the foreground of the frame. Somehow a very challenging shot to do since I have to hold my breath longer to get a good composition.
Before doing the duck dive the diver must relax her\himslef and take a long deep breath as much as possible to stay longer underwater. Like what I did as I descend 6-7 meters in the below photo.
I descend first in these shots so that Janine won't stay longer underwater. I love this shot actually as I look back to check if Janine follows, and it turns out to be a decent shot for me.
Meanwhile, on the shallow part of the ocean, I captured a school of fish that seemed to be not afraid of humans at all I can barely touch them if I just extend my arm to them. While the below photo is a clear underwater shot of corals while complementing the rays of sun that went through the waters it would be perfect if Janine is in the frame.
Wow! That's so beautiful 😯 !BBH
