ABANDONED CORNERS // RINCONES ABANDONADOS // MONOMAD / ENG-ESP

Hello #Hive friends in this corner of visual and monochromatic pleasures. This is my #monomad challenge entry for today.

These are photos of some places that have been abandoned, that are lonely and have been approached by a certain touch of slovenliness and even delicious visual chaos.

Perhaps my taste and opinion regarding abandoned places may seem a bit odd. But I can't hide the fact that I like them. Particularly, I find a kind of charm in those places that I don't usually find in neater places.

It could be a ruin, a piece of land full of weeds, an old workshop. The subject matter and the elements may vary, but the emotional result that I achieve through the image is always the same. It seems to me that "abandonment leads us to transcendence".

When I come across an abandoned place, facts immediately cross my mind such as: "This is no longer necessary for someone", "Whoever had this, could have continued without this" and other similar reflections and perspectives. It's funny, but I always come to my mind "optimistic" conclusions, I never decide to think that this or that was abandoned for some dark or sad reason.

Obviously, there is also the issue of "drama".... I think that also attracts me to abandoned places. I am what you would call a "dram-addict" hehehehehe.... If I don't have some drama a day, there's a good chance I'm going to suffocate!.... Obviously I'm kidding, but somehow, my photographic preferences go through "drama" as a catalyst element of the image.... And what better place for that than an abandoned place?

Eventually, abandonment can be seen as a "dehumanization" of places. Because, if one observes well, in abandoned places things happen naturally, with the respective chaos and anarchy that corresponds to the evolution of things by natural laws.

Another thing I also want to add, is that for those of us who are used to prefer black and white photography, this kind of places is simply a "paradise to take pictures" because that same dehumanization, chaos and drama of the place, makes you see almost everything as "ready to become monochromatic".

Time itself seems to pass more slowly in the midst of abandonment and the perception of the advance of deterioration makes us understand how ephemeral things can be.

I think this last photo sums up most of what I have said in this post. It is the ruins of an old hacienda office. I remember being here when I was a kid and seeing it all working. But now, it is simply what you see in the photo: "An abandoned place"....

Thank you so much as always for sharing and appreciating. Greetings to all.

Hello my friend... From your post:

You know; as I look at your words, I understand the mindset you are trying to convey. Yet respectfully... I see it in another light. You explain the last photo brought memories of your childhood. In sharing this moment in time with us, that tells me you certainly haven't "abandoned" your thoughts. This place obviously left an impression upon you...

Isn't it strange, that even something abandoned, or left behind in one format... still instills memory, recollection, and wholeness... in another?

Lol... this, Human Condition. What an adventure you've taken us on. Thank you, for that.

My dear friend, thank you for taking the time to read my sometimes somewhat rambling lines.

You're right... These places that I travel, are often places that I met thriving and full of feverish activity. But many things have happened since I was a child and in many cases they have become desolate and inert places.... It's funny, but as I walk through them now, I remember as "in a movie in my mind" when I was here as a child.

Those tours as a child, I usually did them with my Dad (Deceased 3 years ago)... he always liked to "walk around" everywhere and it was very common for him to have access to farms, ranchs and crops because they were known everywhere (he was excessively talkative and easy-going)...

Humm... Now that you mention it, my "internal journey" when I go out to take pictures is even deeper than I suppose...

@wesphilbin, You're a person with a very deep sensibility dear friend, even from thousands of miles away and just by reading something I write, you can deduce very interesting things...

I continue -as since I found you in #hive- thanking you for your support and your lines... I send blessings and greetings to you... Thank you very much again.

Ups!... I've written (paste) the same comment twice.... I already deleted it .... ha ha ha ha... I'm a bit sleepy today!..... ;)

I'm deleting this one then... but I take this opportunity to wish you a happy day...

Spectacular post. All the monochromes are just stunning. Everything looks so fantastic.🍀

Thank you for your support and appreciation dear friend @pranavinaction !!!.... Greetings!

Feliz dia!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
