"Chimó"

Hello dear friends at #Hive!....

¡Hola estimados amigos en #Hive!...

Sometimes the day seems to get off to a bad start... People seem to be talking at the same time, it's raining all the time, the heat and humidity seem to penetrate our clothes and suffocate us, it's difficult to do anything outside... It's those days that we would never want to have, but that are bound to happen from time to time (at least here)...

So, since I retired from the company where I used to work and I can have my time, what I usually do on those days is to sit in front of my PC and rummage through my thousands of RAW photographs that I usually save, select one and edit it until I like the result, which is almost always in black and white...

So this is my entry to today's #monomad challenge... "Photos for catharsis" ;-)

Arrival / Llegada

I usually spend up to an hour editing a photo from RAW, sometimes it takes me longer... But it can also happen that it only takes five or ten minutes to get a result that I like... it all depends on the photo and the mood I'm in at the time...

Preschool / Preescolar

When I do this "therapeutic" exercise (I guess I could call it that) I usually use photos with different themes, I usually like it better because in each photo I find something different to do to bring it to a result that I like.

Abandonment / Abandono

When I spend hours on this, it often seems as if the problems "slowly disappear"... With every photo I edit, with every shadow, every contrast, every luminosity chosen for desaturated colour... Yes, there is no doubt, many of our discomforts lose intensity when left alone.

Oblivions/Olvidos

At the end of the day, I always feel better after working on some photographs than I did before. So it has become a "healthy habit" for me to choose to get through the bad days by the hand of this lovely hobby.

Thank you very much my bichromatic friends!.... That photo has caused a lot of talk here at home (*) :-) ... I'm glad that you liked it too!... I send a big hug!

(*) Yes, our family are a bit weird people, we meet to talk about photos, dogs, cats, cows, birds, yoga, plants, the weather, etc. in the evenings (some in person and others by video call, it doesn't matter)... ha ha ha....;)

Beautiful captures @jlinaresp 😎 they look so great in black and white.
Yes, I do the same… sometimes I spend a long time editing a photo sometimes it can be quick.
Thanks for sharing 😁

Really nice photo of the road and trees

Thank you very much my friend, I am delighted that you like them!.... Best regards!

I like the photo of the preschool. It captures them in a candid moment, discussing whatever children talk about, with all seriousness. It is a beautiful piece of street photography, as are your other pictures. You have a great eye for composition.

Thank you very much dear friend, I also loved that photo for its eloquence... Again thank you for your kind comment, best wishes to you, happy day!
