Hello #Hive monochromatic friends!.... Welcome to a new edition of my series of black and white street photography.... Today I brought to share with you a handful of very recent photos, all taken during this first two weeks of October and you can see in them that I have had to deal with some mornings of strong sunlight and therefore with dramatic shadows and contrasts that are difficult to manage when shooting... But this is all good for working in monochrome, even if it sometimes results in a headache for the photographer!... Come with me to look at these photos, I'm sure you'll like them!
¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Bienvenidos a una nueva entrega de mis series de fotografías callejeras en blanco y negro... Hoy traje para compartir con ustedes un puñado de de fotos muy recientes, todas las hice durante esta primera quincena de Octubre y podrán apreciar en ellas que he tenido que lidiar con algunas mañanas de fuerte luz solar y por lo tanto con sombras dramáticas y contrastes difíciles de gestionar al momento de hacer fotos...¡Pero todo esto es bueno para trabajar en monocromático, aunque resulte a veces en un dolor de cabeza para el fotógrafo!... ¡Vengan conmigo a mirar estas fotos, estoy seguro de que les gustarán!

My streets keep flooding my thoughts with memories every time I walk through them... Mrs. María and my late father were great friends, my father was even the godfather of several of her sons... I took this photo when I passed in front of her house, she is now 96 years old and I assumed that she would not recognise me when she saw me... But it was not like that, on the contrary, as soon as I greeted her she immediately responded to my greeting and added: ‘You are Jesús, the eldest son of my compadre Linares!... It is impressive the lucidity and strength that some people from the village have despite being close to 100 years old!... Silverio, in another of these photos, is Mrs. Maria's cousin, but she says that he is ‘just a boy of 77 years’ and is the one who is in charge of carrying the drinking water home using his bicycle as a cargo vehicle... Now that's what it's like to be healthy!
Mis calles siguen inundando mis pensamientos con recuerdos cada vez que las recorro... La Sra. María y mi padre fueron grandes amigos, incluso mi padre era el padrino de varios de sus hijos... Esta foto la hice al pasar yo por el frente de su casa, ella hoy día tiene 96 años de edad y yo supuse que no me reconocería al verme... Pero no fue así, por el contrario, apenas le saludé ella de inmediato respondió mi saludo y agregó: "¡Tu eres Jesús, el hijo mayor de mi compadre Linares!... ¡Es impresionante la lucidez y fortaleza que tienen algunas personas del pueblo a pesar de estar cercanos a los 100 años!... Silverio, en otras de estas fotos, es primo de la Sra. María, pero ella dice que él es "apenas un muchacho de 77 años" y es quien se encarga de llevar el agua potable a casa usando su bicicleta como vehículo de carga... ¡Eso sí que es estar saludable caray!...

Independently that my streets are always the same, they know how to give me new photos, or they can even be -as I like to say- ‘The same things but different’... This makes me understand more clearly the magic of capturing ‘that moment’ that under absolutely no circumstances can be repeated... When it comes to street photography, the ‘only once and only once’ look is feasible... And I know I sound like a romantic with a poet's air sometimes when I talk about taking pictures in the streets!... And maybe that's part of my photographic hobby too, geez! :))
Indistintamente de que mis calles sean siempre las mismas, ellas saben como regalarme nuevas fotos, o incluso pueden ser -como me gusta decir- "Las mismas cosas pero distintas"... Esto me hace entender con más claridad la magia de captar "ese momento" que bajo ningún concepto puede repetirse... Cuando se trata de fotografía callejera, casa mirada es factible "solo una y única vez"... ¡Y ya sé que parezco un romántico con ínfulas de poeta algunas veces cuando hablo de hacer fotos en las calles!... ¡Y eso quizás también sea parte de mi afición fotográfica caray! :))

The boulevard serves to take me out of what I call: ‘the old town’, a place where some things look more recent, even the people... However, like everything else in this strange town, the boulevard has also been filled with fascinating street visions...
El bulevar me sirve para salirme un poco de eso que llamo: "EL pueblo viejo", ese es un lugar en donde algunas cosas lucen más recientes, incluso la gente... Sin embargo, como todo todo en este pueblo extraño, el bulevar también se ha ido llenando de visiones callejeras fascinantes...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
