Hola nuevamente a todos los apasionados por la fotografía. En este pequeño artículo quiero compartir con ustedes fotografías de algunas plantas originarias de mi país (Cuba) y algunas introducidas. En estas imágenes quiero mostrar la amplia diversidad de formas que se pueden encontrar en la Naturaleza con variaciones en hojas, tallos y flores. La evolución de las especies vegetales es muy apasionante de estudiar con modificaciones muchas veces impresionantes que les permiten vivir en diferentes tipos de hábitats. Tanto la suculencia en tallos y hojas como las variaciones de formas en las hojas y flores son aspectos de gran interés para mí como biólogo.
Hello again to all those who are passionate about photography. In this small article I want to share with you photographs of some plants native to my country (Cuba) and some introduced. In these images I want to show the wide diversity of forms that can be found in Nature with variations in leaves, stems and flowers. The evolution of plant species is very exciting to study with many times impressive modifications that allow them to live in different types of habitats. Both the succulence in stems and leaves and the variations of shapes in the leaves and flowers are aspects of great interest to me as a biologist.
En la siguiente imagen podemos apreciar la flor característica de una pequeña planta trepadora del género Mesechites que crece en bosques de mi país.
In the following image we can see the characteristic flower of a small climbing plant of the Mesechites genus that grows in forests in my country.
La próxima fotografía muestra la hermosa disposición en roseta de hojas suculentas pertenecientes a una planta del género Echeveria o híbrido de ella.
The next photograph shows the beautiful rosette arrangement of succulent leaves belonging to a plant of the genus Echeveria or a hybrid thereof.
Las flores de la siguiente planta que crece en mi país estoy casi seguro que la ven por primera vez muchos de ustedes.
The flowers of the following plant that grows in my country I am almost sure that many of you see it for the first time.
Los cactus del género Melocactus son extremadamente vistosos por la forma globosa o columnar de los tallos y el hermoso cefalio apical.
The cacti of the genus Melocactus are extremely showy due to the globose or columnar shape of the stems and the beautiful apical cephalium.
Las hojas de esta planta del género Rajania (Dioscorea actualmente) presentan una forma que me pareció muy interesante.
The leaves of this plant of the genus Rajania (Dioscorea currently) have a shape that I found very interesting.
