Fishing and art

10.JPG

Like martial arts and such, I guess fishing has an art too. Knitting nets, rigging, wood craft skills in making boats with various equipment, and a number of techniques used in fishing, which may be the same as moves in martial arts, all of this definitely has something to do with art. Even the involvement of painters in coloring boats and paintings is something that is commonly found.

In a difficult and risky field of work, I think, beauty is something that is needed to reduce the gloom, and even horror. Beauty evokes enthusiasm, courage, hope, and most importantly, joy. Beauty evokes optimism. Art gives birth to various forms of beauty. Because of this, people need art in places that are sometimes thought to have nothing to do with art.

The fishermen are people who have to be patient with the sun, the wind, the thirst in the midst of salty water, the waves that shake almost every second. That's in normal weather, and not to mention in bad weather and storms. If fishermen have to be tough and firm people, that is natural and rational considering their field of work. But in reality that is not the case. They turned out to be people who were artsy, loved beauty, and had a soft heart. Perhaps, because working in such a harsh environment they actually "consume" beauty and art in greater quantities. It becomes like a complement to create balance in their lives.

I think we can see the presence of the artists in some of these images, and hopefully you can also see me among them.😁

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
