Monomad challenge entry #167: Love in the details.

in Black And White10 months ago

Having done wedding photography properly for a year now, I understand why a lot of photographers dread it. It can be such a daunting exercise over a long period. Aside from that, wedding photography is the one genre that incorporates all other genres of photography. You'll have to be a portrait photographer, an event photographer, a fashion photographer, a lifestyle photographer, a product photographer, etc. Yes, it's that serious. It's been a year, but I'm still adjusting to the demands of the job.

One of the fancy things to do at weddings is to create detailed photos of the couple's accessories. The wedding bands, shoes, earrings, bouquets, etc. Whilst some photographers consider them redundant to the overall output of the wedding gallery, they play an important role in aesthetics. I'm still finding my way around photographing details but fortunately, I have an assistant who has a good eye for things like that. This is evident in the details we were able to capture from Melody's wedding at the beginning of the year.

These "detail" photos are going to serve as my entry for the daily #monomad challenge;

While these look glorious in black and white, you should see them in colors too, They'll feature when I share the actual photos from the wedding event. Professional photographers, let me know in the comments section what you think about wedding photography.
