Monomad challenge entry #169; so simple yet, so sweet.

After I delved into wedding photography, the number of portrait bookings I normally get reduced drastically. In fact, we got booked only for 15 portrait sessions last year. That's a lot of decline considering that the previous year (2023) we did over 60. While my income as a wedding photographer is better, I do enjoy photographing people without the hassle of an event. This year, I decided to delve into portrait photography again. For that reason, I renovated the studio space and I'm working towards running campaigns that'll inform prospects that I'm still a good portrait photographer.

Well, all that talk is not why I'm writing this post. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge. It feels so good to be back and after my comeback post, I've spent some time just going over the entries in the community. I'm glad that the monomad challenge is still going on strongly and the entries are so inspiring and captivating. Kudos to everyone that ensures that this quality is maintained.

For my entry today, I'll be sharing photos I took of Enyene. Enyene is a retuning client. The first I photographed her was for her pre wedding photo shoot and her civil wedding. The next time we sort of had an encounter, she was photographed by my wife. For her birthday this year, she indulged me in her plans and we created some really amazing photos. The photos were the confirmation I needed to get back into the portrait photography game again. I loved the results so much. I'll say that I was in my bag for them.

The photos are stunning in color as they also are in black and white, for the sake of my entry, I shared only the black and white variants. If you'd like the colored ones you can check them out on my instagram. Or I might make a separate post for the colored ones some other time.
