In my naivety as a young adult, I once said that I was going to live my life and achieve success, without external help. I'm sorry to say, but that was a stupid statement. Luckily for me, my stupidity didn't last long. 2 months after my decision, I was phoning family members for support.
We all need support to get through with life. It could be any kind of support; financial, emotional, physical, spiritual, etc. We can't do it all by ourselves, and that's why this photograph below means so much;
Here's my entry for the #monomad challenge initiated by @brumest and hosted by @monochromes
The message of this photograph came after I had edited it. At the time I took the photo, I just wanted to capture random moments. But then it was much more.
The photography was taken in a slum around my workplace. I pass through the area to get to my office faster. These children rarely go to school. They are exposed to unhealthy environment, and they aren't equipped with healthy diets to fight health problems. It's a big problem, and that would be a discussion for another day and another article.
What fascinates me about them is how they stay connected to each other and are happy all the time. It could seem as though it's child's play, but these children are learning how to support each other.
We all need support!
