Venezuela is a country with projects consumed by corruption between the State and the private sector. The Valencia Metro, whose construction began in 1997 and ended in 2007 relatively, has been a bad example to follow.

And I say relatively, because up to now 9 stations are working (halfway) out of the 30 that are in the project. The photos were taken in an unfinished station, in the middle of an important avenue.

Even the passerby is already used to the abandoned machines. Other photos you are looking at show the construction of what was going to be another station, but the government decided to dismantle the machinery and build a boulevard with businesses, whose commercial activity has diminished considerably.

While I was taking pictures of the other abandoned station, I met a watchman, who told me that this space would presumably also be dismantled to become another boulevard.

This is how the project will apparently even be buried.

Venezuela es un país con proyectos consumidos por la corrupción entre el Estado y el sector privado. El Metro de Valencia, cuya construcción inició en 1997 y terminó en 2007 relativamente, Ha sido un mal ejemplo a seguir.

Y digo relativamente, porque hasta ahora funcionan (a medias) 9 estaciones, de las 30 que están en proyecto.

Las fotos fueron tomadas en una estación inconclusa, en medio de toda una avenida importante.

Incluso el transeúnte ya está acostumbrado a las máquinas abandonadas. Otras de las fotos que estás viendo, muestran la construcción de lo iba a ser otra estación, pero el Gobierno decidió desmantelar la maquinaria y construir un boulevard con negocios, cuya actividad comercial ha mermado considerablemente.

Mientras registraba la estación abandonada, me encontré a un vigilante, quien me dijo que ese espacio presuntamente también será desmantelado para convertirse en otro boulevard.

Es así como el proyecto incluso al parecer será sepultado.
