Hello, lovers of poetry hidden behind monochrome!!! It is a privilege to have been invited by my boyfriend, the photographer, psychologist, and poet @roswelborges, to participate in the #monomad challenge of #monochrome. This post is my entry.
Black and white photography has always seemed magical to me; so much beauty is hidden among the shades of gray, in the pure discourse of shadow and light. It is a seductive interpretation of reality that is based on contrasts, balances, a sensual harmony that always attracts the perceiving eye.
Working with monochromatic imagery is not only interesting but challenging, as it demands a keen sense of visual balance. The criteria for applying selective visibility are much richer. This is where the possible aesthetic and conceptual connotation of a black and white image lies.
I share images captured with my Techno Sparks mobile phone. These will be part of my first photographic series "The small world," dedicated to the expressiveness contained in children's reactions to various stimuli and their dialogue with the environment. The model was my mischievous and playful three-year-old boy. I took snapshots of him playing hide and seek in the backyard.

Hola, amantes de la poesía que se oculta tras el monocroma!!! Es un privilegio haber sido invitada por mi novio, el fotógrafo, psicólogo y poeta @roswelborges a insertarme al desafío #monomad de #monochrome. Este post es mi entrada.
La fotografía en blanco y negro siempre me ha resultado mágica; se esconde tanta belleza entre los tonos de grises, en el discurso puro de la sombra y la luz. Es una interpretación seductora de la realidad que se sustenta en contrastes, balances , armonía sensual que siempre atrae al ojo perceptor.
Trabajar la imagen monocromática me resulta no solo interesante sino retador pues demanda un aguzado sentido del equilibrio visual. Los criterios de aplicación de visibilidad selectiva aplicados son mucho más ricos. En ello radica la posible connotación estética y conceptual de una imagen en blanco y negro.
Les comparto imágenes capturadas con mi móvil Techno Sparks. Estas formarán parte de mi primera serie fotográfica " El pequeño mundo" dedicada a las expresividad que encierran las reacciones infantiles según diversos estímulos y en su diálogo con el entorno.
El modelo fue mi pequeño niño de tres años, travieso y pícaro. Tomé instantáneas de su juego a las escondidas en el patio de casa.
