Old cars in Venezuela - Monomad challenge

in Black And White8 months ago

Hello beautiful Black And White community, I hope you are having a wonderful day!

One of the things I love to photograph every time I see them on the street is old cars. In Venezuela, it is more common to see old cars than new ones, and this might be quite curious/interesting for you!

So today I want to show you a couple of photographs that I took yesterday while I was taking pictures in the city...

I will use these photos as an entry for the #monomad challenge.

I will start with Volkswagen beetles since they are the most common old cars to see everywhere, so much so that the same day I saw 3 of them...

I also saw two of these cars in different parts of the city, I honestly don't know their names.

I saw three other cars that were quite old and in a total state of neglect, but their owners still keep them and refuse to throw them away.

And finally, the true workhorses are these Chevrolet trucks that so many Venezuelans continue to use for work!

I found this topic interesting because many times, these old cars are still used on a daily basis!

I hope you found it interesting to see the type of old cars that can still be found on the streets of Venezuela!

Great finds! It does make cars look sharper with the b&w
Good luck

Thanks!! i also put a lot of sharp in the edition

Love the way you chose to do the Black and white which suits the theme of these cars. My favorite is the old car with the cracked windscreen. Amazing finds!

Yeahh!! Black And White really suits very well for these old cars!

Those Beetles really bring back memories. Nice work!

That's the intention!! did you drove one of these ?

Yes! I had a bright yellow beetle. It had no reverse gear and, after something electrical shorted out when my radio was stolen, it would not start with the key. I had to push it, jump in,. and pop the clutch to get it started. At home, I parked facing downhill so that it could roll on its own without me needing to push it.

Daaammm that's a lot of work , you must have love that car in that time!

I was too broke not to love it ;)

It is true that it is very common to see old cars in Venezuela, it reminds me of when I went to Cuba and saw all those car models from the 50's and obviously the same thing happens here because of the economy and the automotive industry.

Yeahh , these old cars everywhere makes us feel like if we where in other old century

En Caracas puedes encontrar verdaderas reliquias algunas muy bien cuidadas otras que uno se pregunta como andan todavía, muy buenas imágenes de esas cosas curiosas que se ven en nuestra cuidad.

Siii suele pasar jajaja
